Bidra med feedbackVisited The Nutmeg at the weekend, and I had the most delicious breakfast (we went for the avocado on toast and tomatoes on toast) both were faultless. The service was friendly and fast, nothing was too much trouble for them. Best coffee and breakfast in Hythe!
Ciabatta contained what looked to be hard plastic or possibly glass, that I crunched into when taking a bite. Could have had terrible consequences. The manager was unapologetic and simply said she wouldn’t charge for it. Blamed Waitrose saying it must have been in the bag of salad used as garnish. What tosh. Avoid like the plague. They could kill you there!
We stumbled across this cafe today and so pleased we did. We were staying at the Hythe imperial but haven’t been that impressed with breakfast there on previous visits we decided to venture out to the high street for food. I had tomatoes, poached egg and bacon on sour dough, my husband the full English. Absolutely delicious along with a perfectly made flat white. Will 100% return.
The food is ok...just that its ok but bland, the service is frosty at best and on the two occasions I have visited I have had the distinct feeling that customers are viewed as an inconvenience and that the owner is mildly irritated by them. I really wanted to like this cafe but from now on will pop around the corner to the lovely cafe 24 where I am always greeted like an old friend
Fantastic Lovely brunch, great service. Food was fresh and very enjoyable, coffee good too. Our children enjoyed their smoothies too! Great that dogs are welcome. Overall a great find during our weekend break.
