Bidra med feedbackThe hotel room was luxurious but had old, uncomfortable beds and missing bed sheets. The overall decor seemed outdated and mismatched, with cold white lighting and a lack of heating in the halls. The restaurant menu also seemed confused, combining French and Asian cuisines without attention to detail or execution. The food was lacking in freshness and proper cooking techniques. Overall, the owners should focus on quality over quantity. Additionally, the lack of respect for privacy by the cleaning staff was a major issue. I would not recommend staying or dining at this establishment.
I stayed at this restaurant for a two-day package that included dinner. The room was cozy and had all the amenities we needed, including a clean bathroom and a large television screen. The breakfast the next morning was excellent, and the dinner was satisfactory. The soup was not hot, but the salmon starter was alright, the lamb was delicious, and the dessert was superb. The staff were attentive and polite.
The rooms are worn out with old, uncomfortable beds and bedsheets. The TV didn't work in our room. The hotel gives off a cheap impression in everything. It may have been awesome years ago, but a walk from the main office to your room will prove otherwise. They use cold, white light spiral bulbs in the main lighting fixtures, giving it an office-like feeling rather than a warm atmosphere. The halls are not heated in the winter, and the overall decoration has conflicting elements. The old colonial Quebec rural scene does not match the Asian influences that the owners are trying to incorporate. This mismatch can also be seen in the restaurant menu, which features French-inspired dishes fusioned with Asian cuisine. The menu mix could work if executed properly, but it fails due to a lack of attention to crucial details. The restaurant tries to impress with large, decorative plates but the food lacks freshness and proper cooking techniques. For example, the fried calamari seemed store-bought, and the fish and chips tasted like it was fried in old oil. The little sauce drips around the appetizers looked like old ketchup left on the plate for days. The restaurant tries to do too much and fails to master even the basics. The owners should re-evaluate what they offer, focusing on quality over quantity. Additionally, our "Do Not Disturb" sign was ignored by one of the cleaning staff, who entered our room while we were napping without apologizing for the disruption. Overall, I would prefer to sleep in my car and eat take-out food rather than returning to this establishment.
Stayed here on a two night package including dinner. The room was very warm and had all we needed, clean bathroom, large television screen. Breakfast was excellent both mornings, dinner was just okay. The soup wasn't piping hot, salmon tartar was ok, lamb good, duck...good and chocolate dessert great. Attentive service from polite staff
