Bidra med feedbackWe visited this venue as had read a couple of good reviews. The venue is in what seems to be a make-shift building. Which is probably lovely in May-June time, but was freezing in February, and I imagine stifling in July and August. Food on offer is very basic, and you have to queue for quite some time to get it. Jugs of beer and sangria are on offer though, at quite a reasonable price. Seats are on long benches, and unfortunately ours was quite a way from the stage (which is a small area beside the food counter) so all we could see was the top half the the flamenco dancer. We had an OK time, but left as soon as the dancing was over. There are so many better places to hear Spanish Guitar and see Flamenco in Seville, and there are thousands of better places to eat. Don't make it top of your list on a trip to Seville.
You will be lured in by the '3 Tapas for 10€ ' banner. The food is mediocre. The service is miserable. The menu is overpriced. Our waiter refused to allow us tap water and made us order bottled water. Outdoor seating in an adorable, picturesque courtyard with fountain. Smoking is allowed on this patio, which is a bummer.
Stopped by for a drink and the sangria was excellent. Interesting to see other reviews on here, it is a bit of a tourist trap but it looked ok to us.
La Carboná es un clásico para los sevillanos, en Castilleja de la cuesta. Después de varios años cerrado y cuando pensábamos que había desaparecido para siempre, nos sorprenden con una reapertura, manteniendo toda su esencia. Conozco La Carboná desde sus orígenes y siempre me ha parecido un restaurante “sui generis” donde he disfrutado en diversas situaciones. Me alegra comprobar que mantienen su filosofía culinaria de siempre y hoy, día de su reapertura he disfrutado como nunca, de una comida inolvidable en compañía de mis hijos y mis nietos, que lo valoran como yo siempre hice. Muchas gracias y ojalá perdure por muchos años. Les dese lo mejor.
Vinimos por casualidad, y tengo que decir que somos felices. Hemos estado sentados junto a la estufa para nuestro mejor confort. Hemos probado raciones en la tapa y somos muy ricos, como gambas de vidrio y patatas de bravas, es algo diferente. Si vienes, no puedes dejar de pedir la entrada, arriba. la atención de los empleados es muy buena. Vamos con sensaciones positivas.
