Bidra med feedbackWent here to pick up lunch while down at the shore, and was pleasantly surprised! This place doesn't look like much, and we were the only people around as far as the eye could see, but the employees were very nice, and the food was delicious. I got a club sandwich and it was huge! Definitely give this place a chance.
We were on a quick trip looking for antiques and needed a fast lunch. It was right next door to the shop we were at. So we said it will do....Well it did and then some! My husband has the pastrami on rye. He said that the NYC delis he has been in having this sandwich should come here and learn how to really make it! He can't wait to go back. I am gluten free and there was not s big selection. However I always have my safety of ordering a chicken cheesesteak with no roll. I did. Expecting what I normally get st other delis. Well... definitely not the same! Beautiful moist and tender chicken breast cut thin but not shaved. Carmelized onions melt in your mouth! So glad we stopped! Not fancy by any means. The food is so worth it!
I grew up out here, so when I came back to visit some family, I decided to show some support for the local restaurants and give this place a try. There was only one guy running the place, but he was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us menus and recommended some of the specials that weren't on the menu. Very descriptive on the ingredients and preparation! I ordered a triple decker with provolone (heated up and my girlfriend ordered corned beef with cole slaw and she finished it, crusts and all (a first for her. The triple decker was incredible, easily one of the better NY deli-style sandwiches I've had (and I live within 15, 20 minutes of the city. If you're driving down Rt. 9 and you're hungry, give this place your business.
Hi there! Josh G's girlfriend here! This place was AWESOME! The gentleman running it was super friendly and welcoming. Being from North Jersey and so close to NYC, I've had my share of Corned Beef and Pastrami sandwiches... let me tell you, this place gives them a run for their money. I had a Corned Beef sandwich special.. The home made Russian dressing is so yummy, and the meat melts in your mouth. I also appreciate the menu has names of food items that are wrestlers names as well. That was an awesome surprise! The ONLY only thing that would make my little heart soar, would be if there was Cel-Ray soda from Dr. Browns as well!
The pastrami was to die for but the ambiance was lacking. Came in to find empty shelving and an empty deli case. The place almost looked closed down. The only reason I am giving for stars is because of how good the sandwich was.
