Went in for Sunday brunch at 1:30. I got the avocado toast with vegan sausage instead of egg it was really good! the staff was friendly.
After looking at the reviews and pictures of the food on Yelp, decided to go here with a friend for Brunch at 12:30. There was no waiting time and the server that helped us was super friendly to get us to the right place when we got in. We shared a single cocktail and a breakfast dish. I ordered the **** Mary for us with a strip of bacon, but they were randomly from bacon (on Sunday for brunch?-then things happen again). The **** was okay, but there was a single spice in there that was overwhelmed - saw coriander. It definitely differs from other **** Marys, but a little space considering their contemporary menu. The food dish we ordered was the Caprese Benedict, and to them the 'Benedikt' of doubt (I had to) I'm not a big fan of Benedict 's, because in my experience usually the dish comes out of lukewarm and the eggs 't poached well. The Caprese Benedict sounded good because a caprese itself is full of taste that sound good, but definitely was the case here. The menu descriptor says it contains fresh mozzarella, basil, spinach, tomato jam, Hollandaise, challah bread and potatoes. No, where on the plate was there any basil and then tomatoes jam really tasted like strawberry jam, which was much too sweet and out of place on this plate. In connection with the Challah bread, which is also sweet and too soft to keep the content of the Benedict, it was simply 'not good in my opinion. In addition, it was Bland as hell and a little of the proteins were still casual what was my fear. The only ok component were the potatoes that were like thick pommes (still bland). The greatest miss was the lack of basil that made the title of the record a total ruse. A nice-looking dish, but for its taste profile, it is ridiculously overpriced at $21. With regard to the service, our server was again super sweet, but we did not get any utensils until our court arrived, and when we finished the servers were at the end of the bar food and chat in sight that could be the relaxed employee culture in Wakefield and with which I did not personally have a problem, but we waited for a good ten minutes to delete and pay for our record. I mean, maybe you tend to the guests first and then have free time at the clock? I'm just saying that myself as an industrial worker. Total was $36 for the drink and dish (minus gratuity). Overall, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, nicely refined dish, but not the most attentive service and on the basis of the dish we tried to prepare. Maybe next time we'll try another dish.
Great little brunch place! We had the Mimosa Kit **** Mary (which they accommodated for us vegan). The Scones are handmade and absolutely delicious and the breakfast plate was fresh and delicious. We have sampled the biscuits and gravy and agitated eggs as southeast Easter, we were pleasantly surprised how good the cookies were! The price was reasonable and the environment super hip.
We ordered the chicken and waffles and my friend got the eggs with potatoes. I chose this spot because of the reviews and the potatoes looked amazing! I found them disappointing. They weren't seasoned or cooked as much as the ones in the reviews (maybe an off day). The chicken and waffles came with the syrup on top and it made the waffles soggy. My favorite part of waffles is the crunch so it also fell flat for me. The chicken was breaded and fried well and was tasty. Like I said this could've been an off day due to the other reviews, but it wasn't a great experience fo
