Bidra med feedbackMee Sum has some of the best Asian pastries we've ever had! Their BBQ pork buns and curry beef buns are must-haves, they have a nice crispy and flaky exterior and are packed with generous portions of delicious filling inside. Tried their shu mai this time and it was delicious. You can tell they use high quality meats and everything is made fresh. The bolobao is also really good! Highly recommended, it's worth the wait and the line always moves quickly.
Their pastry is a little bit too sweet for my Asian taste bud, probably because they’ve been Americanized after all these years. But you know, it’s Mee Sum after all, so I still recommend this place. Lotus seed and yolk mooncake is not bad, and the char siu pastry is good—you can never go wrong with the flaky pastry, the buttery smell, and the sweet and savory char siu inside.
I heard about this bakery from YouTube, so I decided to try it out and was delighted by the experience. I had the BBQ Pork Hum bao. The housmade bread was (naturally) sweet and well-textured, and coupled with the pork created a blend of sweet and savory. At $5.50, it was a treasure! I would definitely go back, thank you for your business!
When near Seattle we never miss an opportunity to stop by Mee Sum Pastry. There is always a bit of a line but it always moves fast! They have the absolute best Crab Rangoon, ever. We’ve also had their bbq pork stick, red bean cakes and pork buns. There is not a bad thing on this menu! Great for quick bites to walk around and snack on while at Pike’s Place!
I didn’t have any difficulty with the staff being unfriendly or rude. There was a line so I’m sure they were just trying to get everyone their order. I got the curry beef hom bow and green tea sesame ball. Both were tasty but I really liked the curry beef. I actually took a couple to go when I was flying out. Prices were fair not pricey. This was a little while ago so prices could be different.
