Bidra med feedbackGerman food is hard to find. 20 years ago, many of the people who were emigrated to usa and were responsible for the great profusion of German joints were alive and well and their restaurants were strong. but in the last 20 years, German places have become rarer and rarer and most German restaurants that we loved are simply gone (together with those who originally built them. So when we travel, we're looking for German food. in seattle there were very few choices and not a place offered the price of the German menu sour roast not. but the kaesespaetzle on the old town 's menu fasste john so we went. I had a simple scavenger (that was all other than and some hand-cut riders who came with some (big sour herbalate very easily well maintained and a few sweet, whole scavenging and a liter a few beautiful white beers. jp had the above mentioned and we shared some lambskin bags that a few plucked and some very delicious gravy sport. schnitzels are hard to make delicious. everyone tries to succeed only a few. old town succeeds. it's a fat thing. they leave enough fat on the gay it requires some! and her brot was great and oh so right. the lamb dumplings were great. great lamb. great gravur. and john 's kaesespaetzle tasted beautiful that he was the speck of the cheese good and the consistency. the noodles themselves were cut too long. we make the court a lot and we prefer only smaller spaetzle. we have seen them like old town 's often, so they are not wrong it's just a textur thing and they lack an opportunity for even better textur and caramelization. the court is delicious. we had a big table for us that we reserved against the wall. in the middle of the room are community tables approx. 8 feet away and there were at least 75 people square. her noise level ranged from a boring roar to a bright shiny. that can stop us from visiting again!
Birthday dinner with family. the staff of the waiting reminded us of our last visit. the food is made there (except the brot). authentic german and tasty. fun bar with picnic tables. they composed the birthday cheesecake and put on special birthday music. so beautiful, along with friendly service. and great value. we're going back.
We had a good time with our kids and watched the Sounders and Mariners games. The food was delicious.
Fantastic meal and fantastic service! Get the Boot!!
Decent bierstube in pioneer square. the opposite is a little spicy in the evening. the flesh is German, but the sides are mostly American. I had carving, which was good and not fat. but it came with french fries instead of spachtel, and the sourd was raw cauliflower with a vinaiigrette. there were homemade brown senf, which was somewhat sweet and not as sharp as real German brown senf. good selection of beer. there was not enough server for the number of people, so it was a bit slow. All-in-all a good meal, but not quite the full German experience.
