Cantina 61 - SEAFORD RISE

I always enjoy going to cantina61. It's my favorite spot to visit. The coffee is excellent, the service is welcoming, and the food is tasty! I highly recommend it.

This place is now under new management and is going to be even better. The food is amazing. Staff super friendly. A hidden gem in the rough.

Took a wrong turn in Commercial road and somehow we ended up in here. However, we were not disappointed. The staff was accommodating and patient with us as we asked about their menu, as we were new to this cafe. We ended up ordering their halloumi burger and their bacon toast, which we enjoyed a lot! We have no complaints about the food.

After waiting an hour for our food we asked if we could have some sauce, as our meals didn’t come with any. The waitress was lovely and said “sure I can definitely sort that out for you”. When bringing it out she said “sorry that’s going to be $5”. We were like sure I’ll come in and pay for it. The waitress then came out with an eftpos machine and said “sorry my manager said I have to get the money now”. Pretty horribly customer experience after waiting so long for our meals for them to just interrupt our meal thinking we’d do a runner without paying for sauce. Pretty stupid if you ask me. If it were my business I wouldn’t have even charged for the sauce considering we waited so long. Pretty bad experience which is a shame cos the food was actually really good. I’m a local and won’t be back for a while now!
