La Hacienda - Scottsdale

Great, food was fine served insulated by servers working hard to get it right. We sat right by the ice rink. Great idea. We could have the table from 6 till 10. Beautiful lights everywhere.

For the 1st time ever I had to send my meal back 3 times. Everyone else warred finished eating while I was still waiting. The manager did apologize but I think he should have offered at discount at least! The server was just blaming that it was too busy for the chef to make it as requested!

The resort was very busy; however, our server and his team did a terrific job and the food was amazing as always. It was a bonus to be able to see all of the Christmas lights as we walked from valet to the restaurant.

We really enjoyed our meal. The lobster tacos are great but expensive for what it is. Fajitas are really good. Great service.

This restaurant which used to be one of favorites and saved for special occasions has definitely taken a turn for the worse. The medley of guacamole which we look forward to ordering used to be piquant and a true treat. This time, it was basically 3 indistinguishable piles of green mush that did not taste freshly made. I ordered the squash enchiladas and specifically asked whether the squash was a yellow/orange Fall one not summer squash or zucchini and assured it was. My entree ended up filled with finely diced flavorless zucchini. To her credit, the waitress quickly replaced my entree with the brussel sprouts tacos but even that entree was pretty ho hum (some slightly under roasted brussel sprouts drizzled with an unexceptional sauce). Sigh. Change is the only certain thing I guess. We will not be going back.
