Jj's Kountry Kitchen - Schulenburg

The burgers and fries at this restaurant were fantastic, and I also really enjoyed the sweet potatoes. The service was excellent, with very laid-back and kind staff. Surprisingly, the prices were incredibly affordable, costing less than $16 for two people. I am from the Houston area and highly recommend this place.

The chef and waitstaff were very pleasant. The food was superb with no complaints at all. Convenient parking right in front of the door.

Stopped at JJ's mid- afternoon on Saturday, March 4 to have a meeting with another person. Leaving there, with an hour's drive home, I wanted to take something home for my dinner. Because of acid reflux, I don't eat much at night, especially meat, but I definitely could have a vegetable, so I ordered their Okra and Tomatoes (like a gumbo), and a glass of tea. I have to say, the okra tomatoes were the best I've ever had! A little bit sweet and full of flavor! Next time I'm in that area, I will time my visit for lunch, when I can eat whatever I want. Looking forward to trying some of their main dishes.

The food was tasty, however, the atmosphere could use some improvement.

Best country dinner, with special seasoning, the flavor is amazing and made the meal the best in a long while and I have been in Texas a while, originally from Dallas, just left El paso thank you for the amazing meal!!!
