The Pita Pit - Sault Ste. Marie

The restaurant staff went out of their way to make sure my meal was prepared exactly how I wanted. They offered to clean the grill before cooking my meat and changed gloves frequently. When my pita wrap wasn't wrapping up well, a staff member quickly steamed a new one and replaced everything without any signs of frustration, even though the restaurant was busy. I also liked their online menu, which made it easy for me to input my dietary restrictions and see all the available options.

I was unimpressed with my visit to this restaurant. When I requested a separate gluten-free pita to be warmed up separately, they placed it in the same steam machine as the regular pitas and rolled their eyes when I asked for it to be microwaved instead. It was clear that they do not make accommodating customers with food allergies a priority. Coming from a city where restaurants are more conscientious about such requirements, I will not be coming back to this establishment. It seemed like they were careless in how they handled my food, and I have concerns about their hygiene standards.

The staff asked if I cleaned the grill before they put my meat on. They also changed their gloves several times. When the Pita wouldn't pack nicely, she damped a new pack and changed everything without getting frustrated even though it was busy. Your online menu was also very helpful to put in food restrictions and see what options were available to me.

They put my Pita in the same steam machine as all regular pits. When I asked them to the microwave with a new Pita) like any other Pita I have the rolled eyes. They can clearly say they hate gluten-free people. I'm from a bigger town where her way is more busy and they're great when it comes to food allergies. I never go back to this place! I feel like spiting in your pita or falling on the ground.

I recently had the chance to visit the 'Pita Pit' outlet during my trip to Sault Ste Marie. It was Victoria Day and most places were closed, but luckily we stumbled upon this outlet which turned out to be a lifesaver. The staff was friendly and helped me with my order, and the store was clean and well-maintained.
