Bidra med feedbackExcellent Fish and Sweet Potato fries. Ate outside and enjoyed the water and boats traveling by.
This is more of a 3.5 star place but we round up because it was a nice day and overall we enjoyed our meal. We were seated fairly promptly on a nice shady side of the deck with a good view of the water boats despite being in a big group. Service was prompt and our waitress was great! Food took a bit of time to come out but everything came out at once for all so that was nice. We ordered the perch orchard salad with added coconut shrimp. The salad serving was ginormous and full of cranberries, dried apricot and pecans— probably a small bag’s worth each! Good salad but would’ve been better with more actual greens besides a few pieces of lettuce ? The coconut shrimp was fine but needed a dip (which apparently came if you order the appetizer version). The perch was fine, brussel sprouts sweet potato fries were quite tasty. Everyone at the table seemed sufficiently happy with their food. Higher prices than usual though, probably for the view. We docked off a star from service because while the women’s had a changing table the men’s didn’t, which clearly needs a change! Vegetarian options: they have meatless burgers
Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to experience the food at this establishment because our family of four never received service. While we were immediately seated upon arrival, no one ever came to our table. I watched the waitress service the other table of guests in our area that arrived after us. After waiting for 15 minutes we decided to leave due to being ignored. Totally unacceptable.
We planned to have a group of people at coral gables for the morning after our wedding. I called and spoke to the manager, Angeline, and she made it seem like this would be easy and work well. She told us the restaurant doesn’t open until 11:30, so if we want servers at 10am we would need to pay $250. Seemed reasonable considering we would be paying the staff who needed to come in early. Well once we got there we found out they open at 8am on Saturdays. So what did we pay the $250 for? Apparently reserving the tables that stayed empty besides the 4 taken up by our party. We also spent $100 on “pastries and snacks” and got two trays of 4 muffins, and a couple brownies. Not entirely worth $100. Angeline did not explain this very well, and thinks that the terrible service we received was worth $350. Needless to say we will not be back. Which is a bummer, as my mom spent a lot time there when she was in college. Terrible service, terrible food.
Good selection of food and an awesome location on the patio!
