Bidra med feedbackWe did not like Sassari, which was weirdly moribund but we did like this restaurant 's spirited and delicate cooking the mushroom ravioli, the clam pasta dish and some of those little Sardinian potato dumplings done in butter and sage. We arrived at the restaurant at 1pm and the place seemed dead. Only with apparent reluctance did a staff member admit us. We sat in a small, half derelict courtyard under a canopy. An oldish man in charge seemed unchuffed by our presence but a younger guy with a beard was more hospitable. The bill came to 74 euros for six people, before tip. Only four tables were in operation but that was more than any other restaurant we saw in the middle of this supposedly 'vibrant ' town on a Monday at the height of the tourist season. Maybe they would attract more visitors if they did not tow their cars away for alleged parking misdemeanours and then charge more than 100 euros in fines. When we asked a householder for the telephone number of the police (so that we might enquire about our missing car) he just started raging at us until spit flecked his lower lip). Strange place, Sassari.
Good food and great service. On a trip to sassari i had my lunch here. It turned out to be one of a few places open for lunch on s Monday in may. Service was very efficient and the food wad very nice, absolutely recommendable.
We walked along narrow interesting alleyways, following Google Maps to find this small restaurant. We later discovered that it would have been easier to go directly to Piazza Tola, itself very interesting and full of character. and to go through the quaint tunnel entrance to the restaurant on the north-eastern side of the square. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Menu was typically Sardinian. We chose tasty pasta first courses followed by donkey and pork steaks, which we shared. Meat was a bit tough, but the donkey was a novelty. Absolutely delicious bottle of Karmis Cuvee Sardinian vernaccia/vermentino white wine.
Il personale era cordiale e disponibile. Il cibo era delizioso. Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante grazie ad alcuni passanti che ce l'hanno consigliato, è stata una bell'idea andarci.
