Bidra med feedbackI may be a little biased because my family has been going to this restaurant for 45 years, but I must say the service is excellent and I always get exactly what I ask for. Although it has been a few years since my last visit, the restaurant is always busy with happy customers enjoying their fish and chips.
Two fish sticks were sold as two pieces of fish and chip. Not impressed. Avoid the Friday special. Unless you don't like fish and usually break.
Because our usual fish and chipboard was closed during the pandemic, we decided to try Perrys because we eat fish and chips. For the first time we had the white fish, which was muddy and really disappointing. The dough was very thick and not completely done on the inside. During our second visit a few weeks later we tried the Heilbutt Special. The fish itself was good, but the dough was again too thick, too hard and not done on the inside. The chips were both unnoticed. For a few British, this was a great disappointment and we will not return to Perry.
The service was good, didn't have to wait so long. Most orders are then paid at the door with cash or card. The Halibut was good and also the Pommes. Nice dinner. You will open 4-7.
I visited Perry's for the first time and found it to be similar to most fish and chip shops in the UK. The halibut I ordered was excellent, with a nice and thick piece rather than a thin one. My wife also enjoyed her white fish. The fries didn't stay crispy on the long drive home, but that's just how physics works, not a fault of the quality. I plan on returning for lunch and will likely eat in my car again.
