We mentioned our next stop was theater, so he asked us up front what time we wanted to leave allowing leisurely walk to FST will call desk. From that info, Steven planned/timed the arrival of our parade of small plates perfectly, two at a time instead of all small plates at once (which I truly hate because that crowds the table the hot items are cold by the time we get to them). GREAT SERVICE! The falafel here is the best I have ever had this is my 4th time ordering the falafel it's consistently incredible . My friend declared her TZEVA cosmopolitan was the best she's ever had.
Good flavors but fish kebabs served cold, long waits for service throughout, used appetizer plates not cleared, had to ask for water refills, dirty floor. Disappointing experience despite good reviews we had seen.
We had one of the worst meals at Tzeva that we have ever had in Sarasota, The only good thing was our waitress. They served the entrée before the appetizers, when we complained they took it away and served the appetizers, which were not great. When they re-served the entrees, which were all the same, they were still cold and inedible. The waitress didn't charge us for them. We will not go to this restaurant again. Very poorly manged.
We didn't realize that we would be at Tzeva during their happy hour. We arrived at 5:30 and the special time ran until 7:30. The food was outstanding, delicious. We tried numerous small plates, including octopus (so tender and fresh), baked feta with honey and herbs, skewered chicken, moist and lovely herbal flavor. All of this plus a bottle of wine 1/2 price and numerous tastings that were $10. was just a bonus. We will return, happy hour or not! Vicki Robb
Food was good quality, but service was very poor. I believe we got a last-minute substitute waiter due to others calling in sick. He didn't understand what we were saying half the time, forgot about us for a long period of time until we had to catch him and ask where our food was. Then the manager got involved and he was very good and helpful. We had dinner in this restaurant last New Year's Eve, and it was certainly better last year.
