Bidra med feedbackWe had stopped here with my wife after a long trip over exciting lakes in Italian Alpes. We wanted to drink something and some snakes, but when I saw hamburger in menu I was not able to resist and got my prize! It is really one of the best in my life and I am in my 60 and I like hamburgers! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Thanks a lot!
Certainly recommend the meat platter, as was December, the orange punch went down well.. I have had better hot chocolates. Meals looked great, but only stopped for a light snack.
Food was delicious! Service very friendly! I wish we could've had more dinners here than the 2 evenings we were in Sappada.
I went to the Edelwess a few decades ago, when it was simple mountain fare. Now, it seems they want to join the luxury restaurant ranks. Numerous staff, willing to help at the first excuse me . The menu was very interesting, still using local products. Wine selection was good with many of the better regional cellars. I had the venison tartar which looked great on the plate, but did not seem a tarar, as usually with tartars there are some flavours and herbs added, the meat seemed unseasoned, the mushrooms that accompanied the meat actually overpowered the meat. I then had the grilled venison chops accompanied by 4 sauces. The chops were excellent, but again, not seasoned (no salt) with roast potatoes. The potatoes were under cooked and when mentioned to the waitress, she immediately took them away, no questions. A cheese plate was offered at no charge for the potatoes, which as very much appreciated, but alas, the cheeses although local, offered very little in variety or taste and accompanied by the same sauces that came with the meat. This a a good restaurant if you want a higher class of cooking or want to impress. Room for improvement, but worth a try
The mixed Piatto Edelweiss was very good, as well as the beer. Service is fast and very friendly. Absolutely worth the visit!
