Columbus Park - Santo Domingo

We ended up sitting at a cigar shop just outside the park. It’s a great place to people watch but also enjoy the scenery as it’s much cooler under the trees. There was a lot going on around the park, artists were painting and performing, lots of people coming and going, overall great experience for us.

If you like history and want to experience the old country, go here. There are tours, or you can experience it by yourself. Plenty of good food options in the area and it's safe. The Nina, OH, the Pinta, OH, the santa maria, OH, I'll do you in the bottom while you're drinking Sangria. Huff

Part of a UNESCO World Heritage site in the colonial city of Santo Domingo! This is the first colonial settlement site in all of the Americas. Sitting in the park sits the oldest Catholic Church in the Americas. The architecture in the area is stunning and the history in so profoundly important to grasp as we think of the modern west today.

Nice, full of local music and people, couple of restaurants and cafés where You can have a drink or some Food. The Cathedral is quite interesting and pretty different to the ones I have seen in many other places. It's REALLY HOT AND HUMID... so, get ready if You are visiting.
