Bidra med feedbackMaybe because the place itself has only a few tables, maybe because the local government never wanted to give them a licence to sell liquior, people in Querétaro don't value enough this priceless sandwich and deserts place. Gladly they can sell their products (all made...from scratch in their kitchen, from the bread to the sodas and gravilax) in other places too. I love the salmon sandwick, the sodas and the desserts. And they are always very nice, even if there's just one person at the store.
Great design not over done tastes are balanced and delicious is the main thing. Don't for get to try the home made soda.
If you're looking for a great sandwich this is place to go in Querétaro. Everything is made in house! Bread, desserts and sauces. Even the soda is made in house. The meats are slow cooked and the sandwich I had tasted amazing. I was very...impressed!!! Queretaro if you want a great food experience this is the place.
My sandwich was delicious also the natural soda and the dessert was also great. The place is also nice!!
I finally made it to Drakos to check out if it was as good as people were saying...and the answer is a resounding yes! I originally was going there to try the pulled pork sandwich but ended up ordering the roast beef after the owner...explained to me how it was slow roasted for many hours, served on fresh baked bread and accompanied by an au jus to make it a french dip. As he described the preparation of the meat, along with their pulled pork prep, you could hear the pride and passion in his voice. The sandwich absolutely met my expectations...simple yet delicious. The au jus just kicked it up a notch. It was served with some very tasty small, roasted potatoes...a nice change from regular french fries or chips. I had originally ordered a regular soda when he suggested I try their own line of beverages. He gave me the list of exotic sounding flavors and mentioned that the newest flavor was guayaba with cardamom, so I gave that a try. Excellent beverage, unique flavor, fresh tasting and without the overly sweetness of a regular soda! They bottle their beverages and sell it in a number of restaurant throughout Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende...if you come across it elsewhere, try it! While perusing the menu, I also saw they offered a Chinese bun topped with Erlum bacon. Being a big fan of bacon prepared by Brendan at Erlum, I decided to get an order to go for later in the day. Once again a real home run. The bun was light, fresh and slightly sweet and was topped with a hoisin based sauce, cucumber slices and large pieces of Erlum thick sliced bacon...simple but scrumptious. Great flavors and textures withe crunch of the cucumber combined with the meaty smokiness of the bacon, light sweetness of the hoisin sauce and soft and subtle bun. I will for sure return soon and try the slow cooked pulled pork with their homemade barbecue sauce!
