Il Marinaio - SANTA MARINELLA

We went for a day to Santa Severa and wanted to spend the day at the beach with sunbeds and umbrella, so we chose this location. First of all they were extremely rude and told us that the first line at the beach is reserved, which was not true because the beach was empty. After talking to the manager they let us take an umbrella at the first line. Second of all, the restaurant closes at 15:00 p.m, so they refused to serve us fried calamari. The salads we ordered were small and overpriced and the location itself needs some renovation very desperately. All together I’d not recommend this location to anyone with higher standards and expectations

My father and I stayed in Rome for a week. We wanted to go to the beach one day. We went to this place. We sat down and after 10 minutes they finally noticed us. They than told us we couldn’t sit at this table for lunch, really weird. We orderd some food. The food was really bad, even a monkey could’ve made it. They asked us if we wanted something after. When we said we didn’t need anything right now, they gave us the bill! They just assumed we wanted the bill, but we didn’t! This was definitely one of the worst experiences ever. Never coming back ever!

I was in Santa severa for a day near the sea, away from Rome. I visited the castle (ex with audio guide) and then I looked for a place for lunch. I tried il pescatore dei isola, the first one I came to after the castle but the waitress informed without a booking I couldn’t be accommodated. She was very offhand and being alone made me feel as if my custom wouldn’t be appreciated- as I’d be dining alone. Shock horror!!!! So I stopped here next, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The lady managing the bar and restaurant (she was so sweet) told me I’d have to wait, but to come back. That it wouldn’t be a problem to eat alone!!! I ordered their house frizzante wine and ravioli. Both excellent. The place was busy being a festival day. So my food was slow to come out, but I didn’t mind at all. In fact I have had much slower service in other places. When I was finished the waiter informed me that the chef wanted to offer me calamari for free due to the inconvenience. I was already full, but who can resist calamari?! they were delicious. And at no charge. Grazie Mille a tutti per un pranzo molto buono

I had dinner with the family. what to say Mrs. Rosetta the Franciscan daughter and all the fantastic staff educated and professional. excellent food quality of sublimate products. well-groomed dishes risotto with cream of scampi the best I've ever eaten quality price nothing to say. If I go back to the strict saint, I'll definitely come back and eat here! I also recommend it for those who are careful and clean celiacs thanks to the sailor!
