Gabriel's Santa Fe

We had a large group (around 30), and still the service was great! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was authentic and beautiful.

The table side guacamole is a must to order. The prickly pear Margarita was delicious. Ll the dishes are awesome. The service was good.

This is our go-to place when we want great food and good service. Today was no different. It’s Mother’s Day and we showed up for lunch without reservations. We waited over an hour, but we didn’t mind because four of our favorite friends were with us. We enjoyed visiting with each other as well as with other guests waiting in line with us. The place was busy, but our server kept a close eye on us. I ordered the green chile stew, my wife got the steak fajitas, and one of our friends had carne adovada. I didn’t catch what the rest got. My meal was good. Not too spicy, but the portion was larger than I could handle. The food was at a good temperature, I don’t like warm or cool food. At the end of our meal our server gave the women a single stem red rose. We’ve never been disappointed here and we always recommend it! If you’re looking for good Mexican food without the fast food feel and taste then this is the place for you.

The tortilla soup and mole made my wife cry because it reminded her of the homemade cooking she experienced growing up with her mother. The churros were better than the churros I ate from Las Ventanas in Cabo. The guacamole and Pico were very fresh. The poblano queso was to die for and the margaritas were well balanced; not too sweet, just right. As for me, I am from Texas. The is by far the best restaurant in Santa Fe and had better fajitas than I can get in Houston. It was a miracle we found it. I have been back and forth to Santa Fe several times. Why this restaurant isn't on the list for number 1 is beyond me. The cooks are amazing and the service was on point. This, in our opinion, is the best Mexican and New Mexican food around!!!! I don't think the pics do it justice. But hey, that's the best I can do. It's not like I had perfect lighting and a professional camera! Everything was absolutely perfect. ENJOY!!!

We heard good things about this place from our neighbor. When we arrived it was a nice presentation on the way in. There were several large parties going on. It was extremely noisy and the two of us we're not able to have a conversation due to so much noise. We ordered our beverages right away and did get this quickly. We were also served chips and salsa. They were just average. It was a bit of a wait to place our order. I had a seafood dish which was good. My husband had chicken enchiladas. His was not good. I tried a bite to see if he was exaggerating. No, it stuck to my teeth and had no flavor. The corn side dish he had was gross. You are probably asking why didn't we say something. No one came to check on us and ask how our meal was. No one came by to check on beverage refills until we were ready to leave.
