I like those on the second level better, they have a balcony and are more comfortable and new. they have restaurant service, gym, basketball court, pools and plentiful parking. original es un hotel grande, con habitaciónes triples, dobles e individuales me gustán más las del segundo nivel, tienen balcon y son más cómodas y nuevas. tienenen servicio de restaurante, gimnasio, cancha de basquetbol, piscinas y amplio parqueo.
The food was good. Otherwise it was no fun. The main reason for the bad review is the price value. We were charged Q400 per room, per night, which is about double the comparable price. They did not accept US Dollars or Credit debit cards. They would not make any allowances on the steep price, because “all the info goes straight to the owner’s phone”. We believe, because of watching them interact, that the hostess charged us extra on purpose, and kept the leftover. In addition, the facilities were not very clean, the shower had dead roaches and such in the corner. Little to no hot water or water pressure in the “nice” rooms. The pool area was under construction, so there was debris and such everywhere. Do not come here. Go to La Posada de Los Abuelos, another hotel in Sacapulas. They are priced well, brand new, clean, hot water, very kind staff. Do NOT go to El Rancho Grande.
They charged us double, we felt like we were being cheated. We went to another hotel on the other side of Sacapulas. La posada de los abuelos. Better hotel for half the price.
