Bidra med feedbackSpend hundreds of dollars a night in a room that shouldn't cost more than 10! Room reeked of cigarette smoke and dog. Air conditioner unit was not working properly and all the outlets wouldn't work because plugs would slip out of the sockets. (maintenance came and gave us a three-way splitter to help). Floors were uncleaned and dirty. Bathtub and toilet had grime and stray hairs. Service was helpful and on top of things. Can't beat the location. The inside of the complex has a nice place to relax Beautiful trees and flowers. Nice patio.
Good location on State St not too far from downtown. Nice pool and cool poolside bar. Good restaurant within the hotel. With that said the rooms are outdated, rundown and overpriced. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable and the wall mounted AC unit was noisy. Service was friendly, but they were understaffed and were more interested in explaining problems rather than solving them.
On our first night at our freshly cleaned room we found a bath towel wadded up underneath our pillows on the bed. This means that the sheets and pillowcases were not changed since the last guest. It was late and we weren 't in the mood to call and wait for someone come and do their job at 10pm; we brought a can of Lysol and sprayed the pillows, sheets, and headboard liberally. We ARE in a COVID pandemic and most hotels are adhering to strict cleaning protocols however the Lemon Tree doesn 't appear to be performing even basic cleaning and laundering between guests. The headboard and dresser also had smears on them (hopefully not any sort of bodily fluid) and it looked like housekeeping made an attempt to wipe them down but didn 't do a good job. Travelocity and Hotwire both state there 's a 72 hour gap between guests at the Lemon Tree (COVID protocol) but this, of course cannot be true since the room was being cleaned when we arrived early. I 've traveled extensively in Asia and abroad and am far from picky but this room was simply gross and more importantly, COVID protocols are not being following as simple laundering isn 't happening between guests which becomes a serious safety issue.
The Manager is very Unprofessional, rude and disrespectful!! Obviously a younger kid that needs more customer service training and all around management training. I had a issue and was upset and all he did was rudely answer me or make noise gestures as I was bothering him. When he was making me and being rude I asked for the manger he said he was. Oh my!!! I told him instead of making the situation and being rude and mean, listen and explain instead of argue and confuse me, he didn’t care. He just wanted to hang up on me. Never have I ever dealt with such a unprofessional, undertrained Management employee in my life. This establishment has a horrible manager that won’t help you resolve your issues. The kid I spoke to that said he was the Manager and I highly doubt he was, but that is who you have running the front desk.
We had a most delightful 3 night stay here, and loved everything about this magical gem of a place! So unique and beautiful and fun. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool is amazing a warm lush tropical Oasis vibe that makes the coolest central courtyard style area. We were on the ground floor, pool side, and it was so impressive how private our patio area was due to the beautiful surrounding plants. The bar is awesome too. Good drinks, great service, super cool atmosphere. It was our first time in Santa Barbara, but we will definitely be back, and we will always stay here! Thank you for a real good time!
