Prairie Star Restaurant

The last 2 times we've went for Birthday dinners fist time the food was great with the exception of the risotto it was bland and grainy. Last night we went for dinner and the NY strip was ordered Med Rare came out med well no pink whatsoever. I didn't send it back just ate it but not my desired temp. And whoever trimmed the steak left no lip on the NY.

Lousy. Our waitress kept trying to catch a pesky fly with her bare hands, there were cobwebs on the light fixtures, steaks were severely overdone and after sending them back, we waited forever to get new steaks that were still overdone. The hostess was missing for several minutes when we arrived because the staff was attending to a wedding. The wait staff was carrying on joking at the bar instead of waiting on patrons (us). We hadn't been there for several years for many of the same reasons.

My husband I enjoyed another wonderful meal at the Prairie Star restaurant. We both thoroughly enjoyed our starter Smoked Salmon Chili Rellenos, it was almost a meal in itself very delicious! My main course was salmon with wild rice brussels sprouts excellent. Dessert was amazing Strawberry Empanada with vanilla ice cream. The value is terrific as we had the Wednesday Thursday night Wine Dine which is $79 for two includes a starter each, two entrees a shared dessert AND a bottle of wine. How can you go wrong?!

Prairie Star always delivers and the addition of sorbet to their dessert menu is a welcomed change.
