Morrisons Cafe - Sandown

The food is consistently delightful, and the service is always excellent. However, I visited twice—once yesterday at 5:30 PM and again today just before 4:00 PM—only to find that no hot food was being served. This was particularly inconvenient because I brought my 84-year-old mother, who has balance issues and dementia. So, while I would give five stars for everything else, I have to deduct five stars for the unreliability over the past two days. Overall, Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 3.

What can I say about this £7 breakfast other than it was completely disappointing? Let me elaborate... The bacon resembled something that had been cooked on a cold radiator. The fried egg appeared as if it had been hurled across the kitchen and then cooked on that same radiator, resulting in a rather unfortunate presentation. The baked beans looked like they had been left out in a snowstorm before being plopped into a small bowl. The hash brown was flavorless, akin to the beige wallpaper you might find in a care home; it was the culinary equivalent. The sausage clearly came from the budget range at Morrisons, although I’m sure my dog would have appreciated it. On the bright side, the mushroom was quite nice. Overall, if you’re in Lake and in search of a decent breakfast, I recommend walking just two minutes up the road to Ritchies Diner instead.

Nice breakfasts. Much better than expected. Affordable and good quality ingredients.

Terrible bacon was cold the last time I visited tried it again thought it was a one off . Poached eggs on toast with bacon cold again took it back unhelpful non caring staff in the kitchen. They leave the food under the lamps for ages and not cooked to be hot . Will never eat their again will be recommending to anyone I know not to Eat the floor was covered in old food under the table . They never have the items advertised not the bread stated but have it in the supermarket waste of money.

Simon in the Cafe, is a star.. very busy in there but he smiled his way throughout, informing people there may be a wait.. trying to serve customers and also waiter at the same time. He was apologetic for any wait. What a great chap. Well done Morrisons
