Bidra med feedbackWe had the prawns pill pill and it was the nicest we have had in Spain. Alex was lovely. Great service. Daniel was also very helpful.
There is no option to give no stars but even that would have been too much.. I would have given minus if I could. Unclear prices (soup of the day advertised at 8e and charged 14e), dire service and the worst meal I have ever had in my life sent it back. Even charged for bread rolls and before I get shot down in flames, they did not provide any with the soup. Avoid at all costs. The setting is beautiful but a nice view doesn't fill your belly!
We checked into the Milla de la plata hôtel and tried out their restaurant for lunch. Very good tempura of asparagus and shrimps and tricolor salad. We enjoyed it so much we came back for dinner. Sea bass and veg wok. Again very good. spectacular views as far as Gibraltar attentive service and delicious dinner.
Positives first.. the view was fabulous. Plenty pics of that online and the music was good. There the positives end. The menu, which wasn 't available online anywhere that I could see, was not extensive. Starters were expensive. We asked what the soup of the day was and we were told it was seafood soup which sounded lovely. 'But ' said the waiter 'this soup is not 8 euros (which I thought expensive).. it is 14 euros! ' We had been so looking forward to this visit so thinking we would get something equivalent to a fish chowder, we decided to do ahead with that. Our friends had the provolone and the gambas pil pil which were 8 and 14 euros respectively. The soup was just a thin broth with a slice of calamari, a lonely shrimp and two floating mussels. Tasty but not worth 14 euros by any stretch of anyones ' imagination. Bread rolls and butter were brought out whist we waited, none with the soup though so as hungry as we were we ate it. Then we ordered main courses, two burgers, one sea bass and one barbeque chicken, again not cheap but expecting something amazing, we waited. The burgers were not even Mercadona best. You got chips OR side salad, the sea bass was apparently tasty but again at 24 euros, you would expect good presentation and side dishes included no, salad (basic, lettuce, tomato, onion, sweetcorn) no chips, rice or anything. But the chicken was the killer for me. I honestly would have been ashamed to have served it. It hadn 't seen a barbeque. It was boiled, fried on the skin side then had sea salt sprinkled on. The chips were mush as all the juices (water) from the chicken were swimming on the plate, the skin was stretchy and inedible.. I can state that this was the WORST meal I have ever been presented with. I did try the chicken but it tasted exactly how it looked absolutely dire. I could not eat it and sent it back virtually untouched. We asked for the bill as we certainly weren 't ordering desserts. We weren 't charged for the chicken however we were charged for the bread rolls, which considering most places would serve bread WITH soup or gambas pil pil, this place didn 't!? The bill, for that absolute fiasco was over 140 euros. Just not worth even half in my opinion. It was only as we were leaving that we realised that most people weren 't eating, just drinking.... very wise. Just avoid. The views are available all down the coast and you can find restaurants which serve better food at half the price of this!!
We’ve been there a few times for the last couple of years and twice in August. Recently it’s been wonderful regarding food, drinks, service and view. The sushi is great with fresh products and nice presentation, the steak and fish are great as well as the desserts. 100% recommended
