Bistro Ginolina - San Rafael

We always have a great time at Ginolina and value the outstanding service and the tranquil, understated elegance and charm of the restaurant. The Kale salad is our favorite!

The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the service was courteous with a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed the low noise level which made it easy to have conversations during our lunch. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We've been coming to GinoLina for a few years. We had a post celebration of the food and left everything Gino and his team. (We asked him to create three courses and pair the wines) All guests from the city (2 couples) were super impressed by food, service and ambience. Grazie Aunt per Tutto!

Seafood Linguine was fine, but nothing unusual, although it had abundant seafood; the spicy sauce and the triangle of pasta was overwhelming. The house salad with shrimp was fresh and the presentation was beautiful. But our waiter recommended the most expensive items whenever an opportunity was given. The wine we ordered was not very good after him, so he proposed a more suitable one. Between two pastas? He recommended the most expensive. Green salad not enough without shrimp. He was inexorable. And obviously when pressing for more expensive items and degrading our decisions, if we insisted on a less expensive option

Nice ambiance. We were there early on Monday so it was very quiet with only a few patrons. I had chicken and my BF had pasta. My chicken was good, although not different than any basic chicken I 've roasted at home (spices were 'usual ' not imaginative). My BF 's pasta was good but not very hot when it arrived. If give it another try... Maybe the regular chef takes Monday off and the creative one is there weekends.
