Osteria L'upupa - SAN MINIATO

I'm very sad to say the mushroom gnocchi was not nice at all, the texture of the gnocchi was off and the sauce was almost gravy like, the mushrooms did not taste fresh. Very much a shame because the service was fantastic! I will be sure to come back to try more dishes, but unfortunately this was my experience. For the price of an entree it was very much not worth it.

I had a wonderful experience at this family restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere.

Absolutely worst service experience ever! they seated us and then we waited for more than 20 min without any attention of the staff. they passed by several times, and as we complained that we want to order they asked us to leave the restaurant… obviously, they have sufficient money and are no longer interested in happy clients.

This cute little restaurant has plenty of food choices and incredibly friendly servers. However, we were disappointed by the quality of the food. The bread that the Crostini was served on tasted like it was cardboard and maybe it was the fact that we spent all day in the sun but we felt really nauseous by the end of our meal there. Giving Osteria L’Upupa 3 stars not because of the food but because of the servers who really did their best to accomodate us and make us smile even.
