Bidra med feedbackLoved the pasta here and will definitely come back! I was twice in this restaurant, once for lunch and once for dinner. I would definitely recommend a reservation for dinner time. Parking nearby is limited but not impossible to find. For the food we ordered a few pasta dishes: 1) Pappardelle Alexandra (10/10). This is the wide band pasta with crab meat. This dish is unique, full of aromas from the crab, you can taste the chewing noodles that are handmade. All about this dish was wonderful and we ate every last bite of it! 2) Penne Santa Rosalia (9/10). That's the eggplant pear. The sauce had a strong tomato ricotta cheese taste. Typically, the ricotta cheese creates a heavy taste, but the tomato sauce balances it perfectly. The eggplant was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We really enjoyed this court! 3) Gnocchi Alla Genovese (5/10). This dish was not entirely what we expected for Gnocchi. The dumplings were not chewing and had an extremely soft texture as they were made from potatoes. We returned the court and chose something else. The waiter was very nice and helped us return this court. 4) Lasagna Rustica (7/10). On the first bite this dish was full of great aromas; the sausage and fennel seeds (I think) really stands out. But after eating half of it, the taste became a bit boring.
Amazing food! I ordered the flat noodles with crab and creamy tomato vodka sauce, the pasta was flavourful, perfectly cooked and on point. My partner ordered the beef ravioli and it was amazing too, pretty strong flavors but strong in all the right spots.
This is the place if you ever wanna impress someone on the first date. The taste of their food is like no other Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s a really cute place put together in the old Victorian landscape. Definitely my favorite in the San Jose. They have a fabulous red wines also.
Service was pleasant, on time. Food was tasty. Healthy choices in the menu. I ordered a spinach salad and minestrone soup.
This is the best Italian restaurant I have been to in South Bay area. While it's expensive, we felt everything we tried is worth. If I were to be picky, Tiramisu tasted a bit diluted. I found this quite often in places where they make desert in house.
