Ludwig's German Table - San Jose

I came up with high hopes for eating and the beer here and I can say with 100% honesty that this is one of the most authentic German experiences I ever had outside of actually in Germany. the food was excellent, the beer served in the right glassware, and the atmosphere was welcome thanks to the friendly setting and attentiveness of the owner to his mozens. I would give ludwig's six stars if I could.

10 of 5 stars. I lived in Germany and found her jagerschnitzel to be amazingly authentic. her gurkensalat was also great. the wine enchants a joy. the atmosphere is casual, like a German weinfest. we are happy to visit an activity soon!

Had the hunter carving and a cherry-chidder, they went really well together. the mushroom sauce was just perfect. up with an apfelstrudel for dessert. it was so much eating and so good. the waiter, different iliew, was very friendly and often came by to check on everyone. many seats in the open. can not recommend this restaurant enough.

The mac and the cheese were amazing and it is a must try. I loved it. also the balls in mushroom sauce were very good. the sauce was rich and creamy. the pulpit we got from the appetizer menu was as soft and warm as my German friend, the vegetarian dishes we had here are very authentic. you have great beer options here.

Great place to hangout with friends good German beers on tap and solid food options (although not the cheapest place to eat). Their patio area is a good time on a nice weather day!
