Bún Bò Huế An Nam - San Jose

We were there last night for dinner. I don’t know what happened to that lady (the owner, the cashier), but she acted like we were there for a free meal as she didn’t even give me smirk to acknowledge my patronage, let alone thanking me when I paid. I handed her $50, but she returned my change on the counter in silence without any expression whatsoever. Khi trả tiền mình lịch sự trao tiền trên tay nó, nhưng khi nó thối tiền thì lại để trên counter và mặt nó thì như cái bánh bao chiều. Ở Mỹ mà vẫn còn bị ảnh hưởng thằng Tàu. Lạy luôn

Food was great, pretty much a soup only spot. We were sat by the door, which because it was a cold night, did leave my party pretty cold. Everyone did enjoy their soup, even the kids, and the portions of meat in the soup were more than most. Broth was great, biggest drawback is cash or debit only, which isn't huge, but still pretty inconvenient although I was lucky enough to have brought my card.

Possibly the best BBH in the Bay. They only serve BBH 3 ways and have a 3rd item which is Beef Pho. I never miss an opportunity to get food here if I'm in the south bay.

Another great recommendation from a friend. There are so many Vietnamese places to eat out here that I feel like you can't go wrong. The BBH here is better than most of the places back home for me. The flavor of the broth is great, and the quantity is also generous (maybe twice as much as what I'm used to). I also ordered a side of meat, not knowing how much protein was in the bowl. They have some fresh chili that you can add to make it spicier. One thing to remember that they only take cash or debit card (no credit cards).

I love Bun Bo and this place’s Bun Bo is perfectly tasty.
