The Public Resto-lounge - San Francisco

As for the food, it was fantastic. Each dish featured a delightful combination of fresh vegetables, light and flavorful sauces, and classic main courses. However, a note of caution: if you'd prefer not to leave smelling like your meal, it's a good idea to wear something washable. With the kitchen in such a central location, the enticing aromas tend to linger in the air and attach themselves to your clothes and hair.

The Public offers a wonderful combination of quality food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. The brick building and open loft design remind me of the stylish conversions found in Chicago. It's certainly a refreshing change from other venues in San Francisco.

I really enjoyed the layout of this "resto-lounge." The first floor of the brick building features a bar and an open area with cozy sofas for relaxing and socializing, while the dining area on the second floor overlooks the first floor like a loft. The sofas were inviting, the staff was friendly, and the food was excellent.

This place had a nice atmosphere. Drinks were nice, and the tapas (the salmon) were pretty good. The minuses were that it was popular so we couldn’t get a table, but there wasn’t a line to get in. Parking was horrible because there was no parking, but that is SF.
