Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant has fewer vegan options, but the vegan udon was delicious and really hit the spot. I should note that the tempura bits served with the dish are fried in oil that is also used for non-vegan items, which the server kindly informed me about. While there were no vegetable tempura options during my visit, the person behind me mentioned that they are generally available. The staff were efficient and courteous.
This no-frills restaurant is a favorite among locals. It’s a great spot to enjoy after a shopping trip at the Fifth Avenue mall, especially on a cooler day. The fan-creamy udon bowl was delicious, and the tempura changes with the seasons, adding variety to the menu. They also have comfortable seating options.
I was really looking forward to this place when it opened in San Francisco. I've visited the location in Hawaii several times, and I have to say, the SF spot just doesn't quite measure up—I'd give it a 4 out of 5. The flavors are different, though still tasty! The tempura add-ons definitely raise the overall cost. Expect long lines during peak hours, but I went after 3 PM on a Sunday and there was no wait at all. Food: 5/5.
The best noodles! There can be a line here sometimes, so try to come right before lunch or before dinner. They have many noodle bowl options and a couple rice bowl options. There are tons of tempura options from your classic Shrimp and veggies to squid and others. You get the tempura à la carte and pay per individual piece. They also have a really good Calamansi-ade!Vegetarian options: Many!Kid-friendliness: YeaParking: ManyWheelchair accessibility: YesDietary restrictions: Let the staff know, they can help
On the more expensive side if you get the meat bowls but that was a darn good broth. Delicious and crispy Tempura. Very quick and efficient staff, was already sat down and eating only 5 minutes into walking in.
