Kushi Tsuru - San Francisco

Located in the heart of Japantown Mall, this restaurant stands out for its diverse menu, high-quality food, and attentive staff. We enjoyed sashimi, tempura, soba, and two rolls, with the unagi being a standout dish. Highly recommended!

After exploring many restaurants along the row, I finally visited Kushi Tsuru for the first time and I regret not doing so sooner. The staff was exceptionally polite and patient as we perused the menu. Despite it being a busy Friday night, the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming. The highlight, of course, was the delicious food! We ordered the dinner special, a variety of appetizers, and wakame, all of which were expertly prepared and flavorful. I will definitely be returning to try their curry and donburi dishes (and probably everything else on the menu).

The sushi was delicious and the miso soup was also very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the chicken gyoza since I do not eat pork. The service was quick, despite it being a busy Saturday.

Sapporo draft is served warm. Also my order was wrong.

This is handsdown our favorite Ramen spot to visit when we come to San Francisco. There's just something done right with the broth that nobody back home can quite figure out. Try the spicy ramen!
