Bidra med feedbackThis one is nostalgic since I came here as a kid when my parents took me to Chinatown. The flavor of their pho broth is absolutely unchanged and I felt like the critic from Ratatouille when he had the flashback. This place is not the prettiest and the tables are kind of cramped but the food is still solid and they give you a huge portion of noodles, normally I can finish an extra large at any other pho place but I could not finish it at this spot. So if you’re in Chinatown and you want a huge portioned solid bowl of pho, then come here.
Ordered the goi cuon (spring rolls) and pho xe lua both were amazing! Goi cuon had perfect ratio of pork and shrimp with a delicious sauce, and the pho broth was really hearty. The restaurant is also decorated beautifully with flower garlands and lanterns. Will be coming back again!
The Special Combo Noodle Pho is packed with nutrients. Thin cut pieces of meat, noodles and vegetables. Staff do a great job and give generous servings. The Shrimp and Pork Salad Rolls are also filling and delicious.
The place was completely empty as we entered around 5.30pm on Sunday and took a couple of minutes before even a staff showed. He took our order for stir fried chicken with mushrooms rice and stir fried vegetables with crispy noodles. After a guy who ordered 10 minutes after us got his Pho so I asked the waiter how much longer our order will take. He said 10 more minutes since stir fried takes much longer than Pho. I told him that I can stir fry the same dishes in less than 10 minutes and that I am leaving if the food doesn’t come out in the next 5 minutes. It took them 30 minutes to prepare two simple stir fried dishes which usually takes 10 minutes at the most. There was only 1 other guy in the restaurant and two people who wanted to pickup their take out order which they places half an hour before (there order were still not ready as I left the place. If you’re in rush don’t go to this place. The food was okay but nothing really special and prices we a bit on the higher side.
Festive lunar New Year decor immediately greets diners upon entry — a novel photo opp in the heart of Chinatown. The pho checks the box for standard goodness, but doesn’t quite make a 5 of 5. Noodles perfectly cooked, the broth however lacking depth. Still, a good option in the neighborhood when seeking flavors Southeast Asian
