Bidra med feedbackI'm not sure what happened during my recent visit. I’ve had the avocado toast here before, and it was served on two slices of perfectly toasted sourdough with excellent seasoning—exactly how it should be: avocado on an open-faced toasted bread, not a sandwich. Today, however, I received a bag containing two sub rolls. That’s right—two full ciabatta rolls cut in half with avocado stuffed between them, and they were completely unseasoned. This was the exact opposite of what I expected from "toast." *The second sandwich was not photographed.* It had no flavor at all, and I had to add my own seasonings at the office. I definitely won't be ordering it again. Plus, it took over 10 minutes to prepare, and we were the only customers in the restaurant.
The avocado salad was quite good. I appreciated the self-order kiosks, which sped up the process. While seating is limited, there’s enough for about 15 people, so it seems to be more focused on takeout. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience.
The food here is fantastic—simple, nutritious, and satisfying. I dine here every time I work from my San Francisco office. The customer service is outstanding too; it’s always nice to be served by a friendly staff member. I really love Hopstone!
Neat and clean place food. Thanks for providing the Vegan and Gluten free options in Salad and sandwich. will visit again for sure. keep up the great service.
A new-ish sandwich spot in the FiDi with interesting items on the menu. Reminded me a bit of the Mendocino Farms formula. Though the sandwiches I tried ranged from just ok to a little disappointing. Steak and Blue: The steak tasted kinda funny. Like if you had leftover steak and quickly sautéed it in a pan to reheat it. It would have been best if freshly cooked, though served cold would have been ok too since it wouldn't have that reheated taste/texture issue. The rest of the sandwich was decent with a strong blue cheese factor and chewy bread. Hot and Smoked Pastrami: Probably my favorite of the sandwiches I tried. Pretty no nonsense with a bunch of pastrami, some cheese, some mustard and some pickles. Nice and warm. Very hardy. Angry Bird: This seemed like it'd be fancy with all the spicy ingredients, but it was kinda bland. The multigrain roll was a bit too thick and too mealy. There was a generous amount of avocado, which always goes well with turkey. But it just seemed skimpy in all the flavoring mentioned in the description.
