This place is awesome. They use quality ingredients to make some of the most delicious things you have ever tasted. The atmosphere is very upbeat and welcoming with a focus on customer service. They actually hire people with developmental disabilities and those who are homeless or at risk and teach them solid fundamentals for getting and keeping a good job. I can't say enough good things about this place. Mark, the manager, is awesome and caring, and Martha, the baker, is a step above other bakers and makes some of the most unique and delicious treats. I also have to mention Roxeanna, who works just about every position in the bakery and is always courteous and efficient. Do yourself and stop into the San Francisco treasure today.
Omg a Mexican Chocolate cookie?! So moist and delicious. Also their jalapeño biscuit sandwich was soft and very tasty. They use cornmeal, and it’s not spicy. Had it warmed up, and the egg was still soft and warm on the inside. Really affordable for most SF places, and they don’t upcharge you for milk substitutions, I really appreciate that.
Sour faced worker. Fruit bowl seemed a day old and my jalapeño egg and ham biscuit was cold in the middle.
Great cookies and pastries. Always nice when I can support a non profit social enterprise providing job training and employment for folks with disabilities. Plus Jamilla is a big fan
