Bidra med feedbackThis is a Spanish-only speaking tour. The woman that was our tour guide is one of the children that started the plantation. They grow all kinds of fruits and plants as part of the education side. It was really very interesting. $400DOP gets tough the full guided tour including a chocolate facial, the experience of making your own chocolate straight from the tree and some delicious hot chocolate. It was very interesting and well worth the trip. Just be advised that this an ecological site for the locals of DR and not set up as a commercial tourist site. The price is great for what you get but very rustic. It's also a nice drive out there but the road is quite awful in spots. You may be able to order food ahead but this is not a restaurant. It would probab6be advisable to call ahead and let them know you are coming.
Hacienda Cufa- Ecotourisms The organic route of chocolate , located in the paraje the butterfly of the municipality of Guananico. Since you arrive you will love the place, if you obviously like nature You can try organic chocolate and learn how it is done. Enjoy a chocolotherapy or simply enjoy the place.
Visiting Hacienda Cufa is to transport to an almost magical place. If the lush nature of the environment is of itself memorable, the warm welcome of your people is for me the best. There they offer a tour where the process of cocoa is illustrated from the tree to become the chocolate we love so much. They have spaces for the Chocolaterapia, with a massage area and a tiendita where they sell products of consumption and beauty. It is a beautiful project that allows us to know the history of a family that not only lives from the work of the countryside, but has made this environment a sustainable development engine for them and other members of the community.
Great cocoa plantation. The guide explained everything very well by going from the tree (cao sap) to hot chocolate. One of the guides even sent us pictures following the visit. The tour takes place exclusively in Spanish but it remains very understandable because the guide makes efforts to make everyone understand.
Very pretty cocoa plantation People speak Spanish but explain very well comprehensible in French Very welcoming Visit to do and recommend
