Bubble Up Boba And Waffles - San Diego

The man who was working when I went recently was incredibly rude and got my order wrong. the boba was very chewy and not well made at all. older man with an accent. not happy, do not recommend. the five star reviews all were because free drinks were offered for five star reviews. way overpriced as well, almost $10 for a simple drink. don't come here.EDIT: the owner responded and claimed he never incentived reviews. i think the owner is the man i was talking about. well that is a LIE!! for many weeks there was an offer for a free fruit drink if you give a five star review. that's the only reason the rating is so high. notice how many reviews are 5 stars but have no text? shameful that the owner decides to LIE when called out for this, which is highly illegal.

Had dinner with my girlfriend to catch up after months of not seeing each other. She wanted to grab dessert and was craving egg puffles or the bubble waffles depends on where you go.It's small little shop. She wanted Taro but they didn't have it. She opted for just the plain puffle we got 3 in total. I decided to get a Thai tea at 25% sweetness and boba. The puffle was alright no real flavor to it. Not sweet at all. Compared to other places it wasn't great. Thai tea wasn't bad, boba was a little bit hard.Overall excited to get a boba shop in this area but wasn't what we were expecting. Better off going into convoy.
