Beshock Ramen East Village - San Diego

Clean, nice and friendly. Good food, real ramen, vegetarian and vegan options available. Very nice people, ready to help. Will be back.

I was looking for a while at this place, decided to come from Japan at the opening for lunch specialties with a friend of mine. Lunch specialties came to about $24 per person, came with half order of duck and a bowl of ramen. I chose the Katsu Curry wheels, was delicious and I couldn't finish the meal. The drinks we got were served in small mason cups, very fast to get our orders to the table. Very nice atmosphere despite the hectic nature of the East Village. Friendly staff, worth the price for the portion size. Anyway, it'll be back.

Almost as it was immersed in the mix of ingredients for a quick dive in the pool and immediately pulled out. (Do not notice noodles where drowned in making the shell. The food doesn't have the look. The frits, where not cooked all the way, did not taste so good at ALL. Such a bummer. Service. The waiter was nice, but only came to take the order and give the check. I needed napkins and never got anything....

Not great. Edible. No depth of flavor. Wayyyyy over priced for what you get. You want some hot sauce, it costs a dollar for a tiny bit. Want some veg like bok chocolate, another 1.50. One app, one Ramen, and tap water over 30 bucks! I won't be returning.Food: 2/5
