Nick's San Clemente

I just tried calling the restaurant to make reservations for a party of 11 since they don't take reservations for parties that large via Open Table there wasn't an option to speak to anyone to make the reservation.

Sadly, I think I got to Nicks on their day off. I went with my daughter on Tuesday and arrived early for dinner. After twiddling my thumbs and being served lukecold spinach dip and a basket of greasy chips, I advised the waiter I was done waiting and wished to get our food to go and be done. He seemed agreeable as I think he felt they were sub-par that evening too. I had enough and got up to leave. I went to the manager who was less than kind and threw in my face that I had only been there 32 minutes. Nothing about the cold dip and grease bowl. I asked to settle the tab, get the food to go and leave. He was abrupt and acted aloof. I TRIED TO PAY AND LEAVE!! He chose to be smug. He said to just leave. Less than stellar. A sad performance at a place that has never disappointed. We all have bad days. It 's how they are managed. And this truly sucked. Sorry Nick. I didn 't feel like a welcome guest. The treatment for trying to settle and call it quits was unacceptable. Maybe Nicks has gone south? Not the only unhappy customer THIS WEEK. SAD.

Too Loud. The staff is very pushy and make you feel like you were an inconvenience. You can't hear a thing in there. Do not go there with a group if you plan on having a conversation. It took forever to get refills and drinks from the bar. The food was cold and again way too loud , the staff dropped off our bill before we were done even eating. Myself and my family will never be going back to this restaurant again.
