Bidra med feedbackService: friendly, with the waiting list free Food: heavenly atmosphere: small and cozy, open kitchen location: fine price: very reasonable for the quality you get Wifi: available and good love TripAdvisor we can get this a 5 stars plus please? Her food and especially her steak is heavenly delicious. We had many steaks in Argentina, but this one was far away from one of the best. One of the few places where you can order vegetables, which we also liked. Expect a queue if you have no reservation, but you want to wait for it. The guy wasn't so friendly with us regarding the waiting list. We waited for more than one of ours and came back. Then he told us to wait longer because others were first, although our names were higher on the list. The rest of the staff was super friendly. Very decent. Overall we loved this place and it is a reward after a long day of walking!
The food was excellent, perfect cooking and taste. the place is beautiful and the service was excellent. the food came in time
Without exaggerating, that was the best steak I ever had in my entire 77-year-old life! My friend and I had a reservation, and when we arrived, the restaurant was empty! We thought we were just unclear Americans eating too soon, but, quite soon, the small, charming room was filled with more people waiting. We had absolutely delicious steak, salad and excellent Malbec. Very recommended if you are in Bariloche.
Amazing delicate steaks and solid lamb dishes with hearty supplements. Really excellent meal. Wine is a bit expensive compared to other places but ok if you plan for it. Would the restaurant recommend holding a few paper menus, especially with unreliable Wifi. Created a challenge, despite the complete understanding of QR code preference.
We arrived and there was a big crowd waiting outside. Still not to be deterred, with the promise of getting a table in approximately an hour, we decided to stay. 30 minutes later, a table outside opened up. It was a cold and windy night so we had our doubts and the hostess warned us that if we were to take it, we would have to stick with it since there was no room inside. Given that we once decided to wait, we thought it would be worth the wait to be inside. A foreigner couple behind us took the deal, sat down, and 2 minutes later decided that, in fact, it was inaceptable in that inclement weather and their were promptly moved to an inside table we were told didn’t exist, but, clearly was the table we were waiting in line in front of them. So we kept on waiting, supposedly almost there but with a tinge of bitterness, while we saw people flock out of the restaurant from time to time, always sure we were next but without any notice from the hostess. An hour had come and gone, and a large party showed up unannounced, and were seated immediately somehow bypassing us. Another half an hour passed, until the hostess finally acknowledged our existence again, with a bunch of excuses that didn’t really add up, and told us about the downstairs wine cellar we were surely have been offered before. This was news to us, no one had mentioned the wine cellar. We went then, downstairs to an almost empty room. There we discovered we could not only had been waiting with a drink in hand but also had some hors d’ouevre. My partner at this time was on the verge of collapse from the lack of food, so we promptly ordered some chorizo and the most expensive wine bottle at the place. This after tracking down the waitress upstairs because they apparently didn’t think we wanted to order anything after an hour and a half of waiting standing outside. Crazy! They brought the wine, and the first course wasn’t ready yet by the time the hostess noticed the price on our wine bottle and suddenly a table upstairs opened up and she helped us personally to move our glasses and bottle upstairs. There we ordered a few courses of food, portions weren’t particularly generous and it was only of an acceptable quality. Since we are locals, we’ve had many an asado in our life and we can confidently say it barely passed the bar. Really, after all the hyping up of their hand made chorizo and specialty tracked cattle, it was nothing special, I’ve had better food at my in-laws. Food took a relatively long time, courses weren’t spaced out correctly, it all came at once, the only thing good about the place was the help of one of the waiters (mind you, not ours) who helped us out and took good care of us even though we weren’t his table, because our waitress and the hostess, who were both in charge, spaced out continuously and did a very poor job. Oh, and the wine cellar is really nice, even though no one really thought to invite us there or tried to to get our orders. The options for wine were honestly amongst the best we’ve seen. In the end, we could see they didn’t really want to take care of locals, and only catered to foreigners who don’t know any better and will pay ransom prices without realizing the food is only mediocre while they drank cheap Norton wine. The only way we actually got a table was by ordering top shelf and showing we could roll with the best tourists. Not a nice experience to have, to feel so judged just because we also spoke the language, so we must not have money to spend. We agreed to wait, not to get passed over and over again for not looking like a foreign language talking wallet. Avoid, or order expensive wine and fake an accent to be promptly served. Oh, and don’t expect too much from the food. Your next door neighbour can make a better asado, and he’s probably friendlier too.
