Bidra med feedbackWonderful little gem in southtown. Shrimp tacos were wonderful. Can't wait to try the whole menu.Food: 5/5
Came here with my better half after a visit to Ruby City. Amazing art exhibit by the way. We had a cantarito and a moji-mex. 10/10 for the drinks. We weren't hungry but decided to get a couple of items of the menu. We had the birria tacos and the papas bravas. Don't confuse the papas with the Spanish tapas. They are these amazing homemade potato chips with sauce and cheese. Simple but delicious!!! Then the birria quesadilla tacos were different than what we are used to. But in the best way possible. One bite it tasted like a tamale, next bite like an enchilada. It was the super delicious corn tortilla that was the star. We are definitely coming back with a bigger appetite. The server was amazing! 6/5.
Service was absolutely AMAZING! From hostess who saw we couldn't find the door, came outside to help us in, to the server that was such a delight with our large party. Such a cool atmosphere, music was on point! Now for the food! Had the guacamole w/fresh strawberry and pistachio that was so refreshing and tasty! Tasted the Chicken tinga Toastada which was delicious ! The birria quesadilla was not what I'm used to. Sauce had more of a mole consistency and was slightly bland. Taco meat was on the fatty side. The pineapple Margarita was very good!
Stopped by for some drinks and tapas before a r dinner reservation. The pineapple margarita was delicious and the papas bravas were great. The service was great and we were seated very quickly. Great sized outdoor patio with shade and ample seating.
Love the vibe of this place! It 's definitely an upscale Mexican spot. The staff was super friendly and accommodating when they walked us to a high top table for 8 and we asked if there was a regular table available instead. The atmosphere here is so nice. Decor is fun and festive and the place was clean! Started off with guacamole con frutas, which is guacamole with strawberries and pistachios. It was good. Can 't say I really tasted the two mixed in there. But the chips were fresh, warm and yummy. Roasted salsa and green salsa was also ordered. Roasted was so tasty. The green had more of a kick and was good too. Ordered asada tacos for main course sprouts and onion as a topping. They also came with black beans on the side. There was something about the tacos I just didn 't like. There was something shrimpy about them. Something didn 't smell right with the beans. Couldn 't tell if it was the queso fresco on top or the beans themselves. Something tasted sour, so those were a no go. Birria quesadilla, chicken tostada, torta shrimp ceviche were also ordered by others at the table. Got to taste the Birria quesadillas, that wasn 't so appealing. Soggy and not a whole lot of flavor. There was a whole one leftover. Tostada was the winner. Chicken was flavorful and those that tried it liked it. My nieces did not like their asada tacos or the beans. Asked if there was something kid friendly. They suggested cheese empanadas. I actually wanted it when it came out over my tacos. Ha! But I didn 't try it. They each took a bite and were over it. Bill for 8 was over $200! Wow! A bit pricey for Mexican food. And nothing was over the top or out of the ordinary or impressive? Idk y 'all. Maybe it was just an off night, but I wasn 't too impressed with the food. I 'd give it another go, but tonight, it just didn 't land well.
