Bidra med feedbackOkay let's start from the beginning,Me and My husband are huge ramen/Sushi lovers. We saw this place and saw the ratings and I, who looks at reviews and photos. yes, it matters. We arrived and parking was very small and a struggle, but workable? We saw their product truck? Now you would think they are to be stored properly in an insulated truck that way they aren't exposed to certain temperatures, but it was a normal truck and they had many products on the bed that I can't say exactly what BUT what was concerning to us is eggs. Who knows what else could've been exposed on that truck or how long they've been on the road.Service: They all greeted sweetly and we loved the inside but the girl taking our order was very low and I felt bad I had to make her repeat herself a few times, once we got the order in we were handed but never were told if we were to be seated or seat ourselves. We had to ask. Keep in mind we weren't given utensils.Waiting about 15-20mins until we got our food, we still had no utensils nor told that we get it ourselves, which we wouldn't have minded. We just weren't told anything. Again I had to ask. They brought it to us. So it's very unclear what you have to do for yourself if you have to, again we wouldn't mind. We weren't checked on, don't know if they just don't or what.Okay now the food: Presentation was there! It made it look good! We ordered Onigiri, Oyako Don rice bowl , TanTanMen Ramen .The Onigiri was a 5/10 only because it wasn't full, more rice than the filling. My husband did find a huge bone in it and that was a turn off. He thought it was salty due to the season they put on top but I loved it.The TanTanMen was a 4/10 the broth was a bit greasy, the meat was superrr salty I couldn't eat it and I love salty things. The veggies in it were HUGE and the mushrooms tasted very old, burnt, and salty. The noodles were the only thing good overall.Rice bowl-rice was soggy, egg had to much salt and too much scallops. Chicken was good but over all, over seasoned/ was too salty. With all being said, we didn't finish our food and left hungry : We're no food critic but we love food!I hope this place improves or takes in the criticism ?Thank you :
Everything was yumilicious. Server were very friendly. Atmosphere was amazing. The only bad thing was that we had to wait a long time for food( we got sunmono as a compliment and it was yummy too) and hard to find a spot to seat (too busy). Street parking was easily available.Food: 4/5
The katsudon is good. The layout can be better since you have to order before you have a seat. They have several seating areas including a bar and outdoor seating with an overhead cover. The area where you order is too close to some of the tables so if there’s more 5 or 6 people waiting to order you will crowd the first two tables. That not a pleasant dining experience for those sitting there especially if someone or a group takes long to order.
When you walk in, the staff greets you in Japanese. Over all vibe is chill and relaxed. If you are not familiar with Japanese food, the staff is more than willing to walk you through their menu. Food is fresh and made to order. The Gyoza is on point. The upstairs bar is also a nice choice to hang out. Definitely coming back!!Food: 4/5
Came with a friend while visiting from out of town and was blown away! I habitually struggle with a low appetite and have a hard time finishing food even when I know I need to. Not only was the food here outstandingly delicious (and more enjoyable than the absolutely fabulous meal we had at the Tower of the Americas , I was able to finish my whole meal here, which is incredibly rare! Everything we had was delicious, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was very down to Earth and enjoyable. Thank you so much for the experience (and much needed calories! , Kimura staff!
