Star Of India - Salt Lake City

We took out dinner from this place. This is a typical Indian place in the usa, very stereotyped, bland food without much aroma. The chicken/goat biriyani was nothing but rice and meat. I don’t want to call them biriyani. Chicken tandoori was also very basic and without much flavors. I didn’t like much this place.

I dined here last night and had the most wonderful experience! The food was spot on. The dipping sauces each had unique flavors and heat level. The cheesy naan is so flavorful. The coconut curry had such depth of flavor. I will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

Bar none… the best Indian food I’ve ever had (and not just in Salt Lake City… I mean anywhere, USA ! You can tell it’s made with love… and they clearly spend time developing the deep, complex and delicious flavors in all their dishes. The owner/manager is a dream: she’s warm and kind and simply sensational. Very personable. I do always take my orders to go, but we love their chicken tikka masala and their chicken vindaloo! Absolutely delicious and delightful. (We’ll be ordering again tonight! .

I don’t care about another review because food very very awesome and specially Roti, I never ate before like this in all over America because I drive truck in all over America and I ate almost every state

The owners were so kind, honest, and hardworking. It was a pleasure to get to meet such wonderful people. Truly appreciated their warm and welcoming environment.
