Kafeneio Coffeehouse - Salt Lake City

I've been there a couple of times, but even though the coffee is decent and the baristas are good there is a lot wrong with this dump. They never clean their floors or their tables and I've seen them use the same rag when they do clean the tables as when they clean their cutting board/food area. There is no baklava EVER or any other greek pastries which they claim to have, all of their pastries are bought at Costco and are over priced. I've also gone in before and had this bigger guy with long brown hair just sitting playing on his phone there while I waited to get helped. I found out later that he is the manager, which is gross. He is always wearing the same clothes from what I've seen and he looks kinda like a homeless man and is extremely rude to most of the customers. They are almost always out of stuff when I try to order things. It just makes me sad to see a decent product and baristas work for a place that is run into the ground by crappy management.

Only once has been here, will return. the decor is ugly and dated, but I really liked my drink and the personal is friendly and seem to care for their jobs. I also had the baklava. I prefer less nuts and more baked, but it was delicious independent. I've heard good things about the waffles, so I'll come next time.

What a change! I can't believe how different this place is since my last visit about a year ago! I said they have a new manager that runs much smoother. the personal is warm and welcoming, the seats are 100x better and their turkey avocado sandwich is the best thing I had in a long time. Besides, they have a big screen tw that they can use them they can say movie night? to be honest, I never wanted to come back, but I'm glad I did!
