Yamato - Sainte-Julie

This restaurant is a great spot for sushi. It is a small restaurant, and I couldn't help but wonder if it seats 40 or even less. It is unique because it is a building with a main kitchen that houses two different restaurants. On the left side, they have Yamato, and on the right, Charbon Rouge for grilled steaks and ribs. Reservations are almost a necessity for this restaurant, due to its size and popularity with locals, especially on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and possibly Sundays. I highly recommend this place for sushi lovers.

This is the best place in Ste-Julie for sushi. Whether it's for lunch, dinner, or a night out, you must try this place. You can even bring your kids. They also serve delicious Thai dishes that you have to try.

The restaurant has a beautiful decor and a cozy ambiance with good lighting. It is small and picturesque with a modern feel. The sushi is overall fresh and of good quality, but not particularly delicious. The maki rolls are well portioned with a good amount of fish and not too much rice. The sashimi is beautiful, with the white tunafish adding a nice twist. However, the rice in the rolls was a bit dry and the tempura was replaced with a rice crisp, which was not as good. The special roll, "The Big Apple," was disappointing for the price, as the grilled red pepper overpowered the taste of the fish and the apple flavor was barely noticeable. The pad Thai lacked Thai flavors, was overly sweet, and lacked egg threads. The Thai basil chicken sautee also did not taste authentic, was very sweet, and had scattered chilies without a coherent aroma. The service was pleasant, friendly, and professional. Overall, the restaurant is expensive for what it offers.

We were looking for a new culinary experience and Asian and Japanese food seemed like a good choice. We have just moved to Sainte-Julie 1 month ago. We had received an offer and we were surprised of how the price was good. We made our...reservation and arrived 15 minutes before our time Our table of five was ready. Our server did explain the menu very well. The food did turn out excellent The service was efficient and courteous The food was above expectation and the price under the going price...

Delicious fresh sushis and fine Asian food! the best erdnus sauce I ever had (with fresh spring rolls,) and wonderful curry chickens and tasteful dumplings. our favorite restaurant in Ste-Julie!
