Bidra med feedbackReading the earlier reviews one of which is dated in 8 days time we didn't know what to expect from the cheapest €18 menu as described on the all in room rate but were very surprised and pleased. The range of taster starters were fresh and interesting and the choice of fish or meat turned out to be an excellent white fish and salmon layered terrine with trimmings and an excellent steak (rare despite requests but enjoyable). We couldn't fault it. Local wine by glass and carafe was also good.
Arriving at the restaurant we waited for a few good minutes before sitting down, even if a reservation was made before! Pretty cool service, the boy who rids the table was very polite and professional, the sommelier had a very good humor, the waiter a little aggressive but we do not have much waiting between courses. Still he forgot the wine when first dishes were on the table! First dishes precisely three small glasses, pretty weird, the first apple ice cream parsley leaf and bits of melon and watermelon, the second seafood wrap a little past, the third celery and carrot salad really average. We wondered about the freshness of the seafood. But the food oh my God! we found it really average, for the first Menu pretty expensive almost 30 we had the choice between farmed fish and a plate of veal. The pretty average farmed fish, both dishes with the same pieces of fishtail. Veal was filet and kidneys, cooked very little, the veal filet was pink and kidney blood. Fish lasagna was like a shapeless mass, so much cream in it! The same for the eggplant gratin bathed in oil very greasy with much fat cheese and cream! All dishes were decorated with large tufts of herbs wrong accommodated with food and we can not eat everything. Proposed in the dessert menu was an apricot crumble, but the apricots were not ripe so no flavor and crumble soft and sticky not cooked properly! Pleasant surprise was a very good and fragrant coffee, extremely rare in French restaurants. We took the first menu quite expensive at almost 30 but it 's a shame the good French food was not at the rendez-vous. It is a pity this restaurant in countryside chief lack of imagination we did not find dishes from the countryside or fresh seasonal menus.
We thoroughly enjoy the restaurant here and return on a regular basis. We go for celebrations, we take friends, we meet friends there, we go on our own. We love it and generally go at least once a month. ENJOY!
On the road of our holidays we stopped at the "garden delight". it was a little late for lunch but we were accepted on condition to take something simple. We took the coriander menu at 19.00 euros - 1 tip - 1 dish - 1 dessert and we were not disappointed.Beautiful presentation. We had lunch on the terrace, we enjoyed the calm of the hotel’s park.
How to say... everything is a problem in this restaurant!food is far from exceptional compared to the price. We were three, of which only one person who took fish... we ate in decay, the boss, execrable we replied that here it was like this (you have to go back to hotel business madam!). I was supposed to have a beef skewer (according to the server's explanations) ... in my plate, 2 small pieces of beef and then abats to fill the rest. The waiter wanted to do it well... but the sweat that dries in the plates and heavy jokes all night does nothing. not to mention that we waited for a bottle of red (which we ordered 3 times to 3 different people) the whole meal, which we are still waiting. At the same time, the cafes were stopped.Even to pay it was a problem ... it was necessary to wait a quarter of an hour that the blue card machine wants to work well and the addition was not even complete!
