Bidra med feedbackOne of our favorite restaurants. This is conveniently located near a number of hotels. The menu is simple and simple and serves some typical French dishes. Every meal we had was delicious, well cooked and pleasantly presented. Service was good, friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next visit.
Restaurant 1/3 full and wait personal claims fully booked. before 1.5 hours walked and empty. this place should be avoided
Clean and pleasant surroundings, comfortable seating and pleasant ambience. Explained on arrival that we just wanted drinks and were shown to a table. Waitress clearly hadn't been told and was annoyed that we just wanted drinks. She was surly and unpleasant. When drinks finally arrived...the wine was poor quality and definitely not worth the money. Asked for the bill. After 10 minutes waiting asked again, and was told to pay at the bar. Would not visit again. The nearby Buffalo Grill offers better value and quality, with courteous and prompt service.
Decided to give the Bureau a try after previously visiting the nearby Buffalo grill, hoping for a bit more of a French theme. Almost. As a starter we had the mixed food platter sharer, loads on the board, tasty too, as was the local beer....I was stuck for a choice as main, plumped for the minced steak and egg, wife picked the skewer, it was big! Overall convenient for the local Ibis. Reasonable value, good layout (seating/tables) and friendly staff.
We were recommended this restaurant by the receptionist at the Ibis Budget Hotel who also provided us with a 20% discount voucher provided we had a meal. The voucher was only valid from Mondays to Thursdays. The restaurant was only a short distance from the...hotel but because of the rough ground you will really need to drive. The restaurant/bar is meant to be modelled on London pubs with period photos on the wall as well as street names such as Baker Street, cricket bats, and similar paraphernalia however the leather seated booths and high chairs was more reminiscent of similar venues of America. Whatever the intention the restaurant was comfortable and clean with a pleasant terrace for al-fresco eating. The menu had many pub favourites including fish and chips, a variety of burgers with some very fanciful names which were all reasonably priced. The portions were good and well-cooked and presented. Sadly although modelled on an English Pub there were no English beers. The servers were attentive, friendly and helpful. This is ideal if you want a no-fuss evening meal on a long journey especially if you are staying at the Ibis just over the road. We would definitely revisit if in the area.
