L'imprévu - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

25 years ago we're going to eat unforeseen and we've never been disappointed. Last night, we went with friends and loved every 4 of our meals. the atmosphere and the service are friendly and the ratio of quality / price never gets demented. the last time I wrote a comment I was wrong in the assignment of my stars...I put a single star in my favorite restaurant.My mistake! I just reread and this time I put to the unforeseen 6 stars!

On the service side, nothing to say. the staff is smiling and warm. On the food side, it's pretty disappointing. The menu seems straight out of the 80s-90s. No choice of accompaniment, no matter what the chosen dish.My husband chose the mussels and was served with the same accompaniment as a cute net, some boiled vegetables and some potatoes. the same accompaniments for my cod, drowned under a gluante salsa and too sweet to my taste. We almost didn't eat anything. The waitress was very nice and didn't pay us for the mussels and offered us desserts.Maybe we made some bad choice, but given the average age of the customers, we have the impression that the food style is for a clientele over 60 years old, nostalgic of the 80s-90s.

You want to eat in St. John! the unforeseen is among the most stable and constant. food is good taste. very good services and people have been working there for a long time!

We were 6 with the children. Excellent choice of food, pleasant atmosphere, impeccable service and with a smile.

I went to eat a noon with colleagues. What a nice surprise! The food was excellent. fast and pleasant service. I chose a terrine in the entrance. nice presentation and good taste. I took a shrimp fettucin as a main meal. Tasty. dessert, a cake tasteful and mellow, with pineapple and sweet potatoes. surprising and delicious. a host table for $17 taxes and services. It was worth the trip!
