Bidra med feedbackWe've visited here in 2017, 2022 and now 2023. It's evident the pandemic has had an impact everywhere in the UK and St Ives is no different. This year (and last year)we were travelling with our 2 year old and for the price we paid were very happy with the value for money for our stay. He absolutely loved it and enjoyed the play park. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival Tom moved our pitch to a more sheltered spot as there were some high winds coming in, so we now had shelter from trees. Fantastic customer service. The facilities are more than adequate, a male and female block with a good freezer for ice blocks and plenty of washing up space. Every time we used them they were clean and perfectly fine. We also liked the wetsuit wash facility. Overall the place could do with a lick of paint (so to speak) to just freshen it up and it was a shame that the bar and takeaway were closed (we knew this before booking our stay) but it seems everywhere in St Ives is struggling for staff as there were adverts everywhere. We will definitely be back in the future and enjoyed our stay
Amazing hidden gem...staff were so lovely and helpful. Especially Tom and Elizabeth. Pitch was amazing with views over the country side. So close to st ives. Toilets and shower facilities were so clean. Didn't want for anything else. Amazing!
Please support this struggling old school family campsite, the bad reviews are down to understaffing issues so let’s give them some slack.
Good location with a nice view but the facilities are pretty awful. The men's toilets didn't have any toilet roll in them for 3 days in a row and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks, generally very tired looking. Would avoid if you're in a tent and have to use their facilities
Perfect campsite situation for visiting St Ives about a 5 minute drive away. Beautiful, quite countryside and views of Mine ruins. The site is a little tired and needs revamping, which looks as if the proprietor is trying to complete it before the high season. The staff were very helpful in doing a running repair to my wife's Mobility Scooter They helped with organising a taxi to take us to St. Ives, which would have been a nightmare to drive and park our motor home in the town. Cost of Taxi £12. In the high season, there is a regular bus service from the campsite. The pitch sites are large, with the option of electric hookups.
